“Leave room for the Spirit” Often this line is heard when planning events, drawing up schedules or even in planning everyday life events. We’ve become so used to having our own way and making our own plans that we almost desperately grab hold of this famous line to draw God’s attention to our selfish desires. While we plan and strategise with the best of intentions God is looking at us saying “abandon your self to me” (your self is purposely written as two separate words). Don’t just leave room, abandon yourself abundantly.
Matthew 16:24-25 NLT
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
